Of particular interest is the confirmation map documenting the apparent journey of the cougar that was first documented in Champlin, Minnesota, just north of Minneapolis, on December 5, 2009. As of February 15, 2010, it had apparently made its way into northern Wisconsin. Check the site from time to time for updates.

Cougar confirmations in the Great Plains, including Nebraska, and in the Midwest are increasing. As a proactive response, the Eastern Cougar Foundation and –AERIE are conducting a series of Incident Management and Immobilization Seminars for wildlife and law enforcement first responders.
