All three localities mentioned in the article below are on Vancouver Island.  Wikipedia notes, “More than two-thirds of the Canadian fatalities occurred on Vancouver Island in British Columbia.”  Yet cougars in British Columbia are heavily hunted–possibly overhunted.  Obviously, the Vancouver Island system of cougar management isn’t working.  Compare these statistics to those for California, where sport [...]
